New York man steals car with sleeping woman inside and sexually abuses her

A man stole a moving car with a sleeping woman inside and drove her to a location where he sexually assaulted her, cops said on Saturday.

Video released by the NYPD shows the creep appearing to pass by the car on November 7 around 4 a.m., then stop in its tracks and hover near the vehicle as it apparently realizes the victim was alone.

He then climbs into the driver’s seat and walks away, showing the video.

A 26-year-old man had left his car parked and was running past 315 Wyckoff Ave. in Brooklyn while his 27-year-old girlfriend slept in the passenger seat, police said.

The man who picked up the moving car then parked the vehicle near Suydam Street and Onderdonk Avenue, where he kissed the woman as she slept and put his hand on the front of her pants, cops said. The woman woke up terrified and screamed once she realized the man was not her boyfriend, police said.

The suspect, described as a 35- to 40-year-old Hispanic man, got out of the car and fled on foot in an unknown direction, cops said.

The NYPD has asked for help identifying the suspect and posted photos and videos of him, including video of him getting into the vehicle and appearing to have a beer at a bar.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call the NYPD Crime Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
