Politics, culture, economy… One of the most prestigious American magazines prides itself, at the start of the summer, of offering a guaranteed number without any article on the tenant of the White House. An ambitious bet, as the place occupied by Donald Trump in the news is great.
The New York Magazine close to the overdose? At a time when the American president is more than ever talking about himself and his policy – on Iran, his attitude on Independence Day or even his management of the migration crisis – the American bimonthly guarantees in all case “A whole number with nothing on Donald Trump” – while devoting its cover to it from July 8 to 21.
So who are they talking about? From the Danish René Redzépi, chef at the head of Noma – restaurant considered to be the best in the world -, from the television series Succession, fiction about a media mogul and his family; or Ben Crump, lawyer specializing in cases of police violence against blacks.
The previous one of New York Magazine was devoted to the American journalist E. Jean Carroll, who accused Donald Trump of having raped her in a large luxury New York store. “This is what I was wearing twenty-three years ago when Donald Trump assaulted me in a changing room at the Bergdorf Goodman department store”, she told the magazine.
