NEW YORK – Immigration agents attack Dominican pepper with gas in Brooklyn restaurant

Agents from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service (ICE) sprayed pepper gas to an undocumented Dominican immigrant while working at a restaurant in Brooklyn, New York.

According to ABC14 News, María de los Ángeles Sanz Pimentel was subsequently arrested after the search of the Spanish restaurant La Cabaña, located in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park South.

In a video posted on the Twitter account of New York State Senator Zellnor Myrie, Pimentel is affected after being hit in the face with pepper gas.

After the violent act, a woman who was inside the restaurant tried to provide assistance to the affected, however Pimentel was guarded by ICE agents.

Jenny Sanz, the victim’s sister, told “Daily News” that ICE agents used excessive force against women.

“They entered where she was, they threw her on the floor and two men were on top of her and sprayed pepper gas,” said the sister.

“I’m going to record it, don’t worry,” says one person who was in the restaurant at the time of the attack.
