As the epidemic of the new coronavirus rages in the United States, hospitals in New York already seem to be overwhelmed. As evidenced by disturbing images posted on social networks.

On March 1, the United States recorded its first death linked to the new coronavirus. No one imagined, then, the horror that would occur today. The country has become, in less than thirty days, the one with the largest number of confirmed cases (163,000 people and infected) and also shows a heavy human toll (3,000 dead).
The pandemic has experienced a significant increase in the past week. US health authorities have identified 64,533 new cases and the total number of infected people has nearly doubled in just three days. Beyond the numbers, the whole country seems to be overtaken by the ferocity of the Covid-19.
In New York, hospitals are already overwhelmed. Disturbing images taken near that of Brooklyn have also been published on social networks. On these sad pictures, we see dozens of corpses deposited in a refrigerated truck using a cart. A similar scene happened in another hospital in the city. This weekend, a medic shared a photo from inside a truck full of body bags. “This is the terrible reality of what we are dealing with,” the 38-year-old told Buzzfeed.
For now, the new coronavirus has already killed 790 people and more than 36,000 cases have been recorded in New York. A situation such that the city was forced to start the construction of temporary hospitals.
The fear is now to see the situation reproduce in other cities. Dr.Anthony Fauci, the US government’s leading expert on infectious diseases, has warned that other US cities could see epidemics similar to the New York epicenter.
