New York announces closure of 10 public playgrounds

The Mayor announced the closure of 10 public spaces for children where social distancing rules have not been met.

The spaces that have been closed to prevent the spread of the coronavirus are located in the five boroughs: 3 in Brooklyn, 2 in Manhattan, and one in The Bronx, Queens and Staten Island.

Among them are two playgrounds at Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn.

Mayor de Blasio expressed that he does not want to close other parks, but that if he has to, he will.
