Sony presented a new wireless television speaker with a built-in remote control on Thursday. The speaker will be available in the Netherlands from September.
The SRS-LSR200 looks like a rectangular block with a remote control and a large volume knob on the top. The speaker has a large handle and can be picked up and taken to another room, for example for those who want to cook and want to keep hearing the television.
It is also possible to switch TV channels with the buttons on the speaker. The speaker also functions as a remote control which, according to Sony, “supports most major TV brands”. The speaker is also equipped with the Voice Zoom function, which “detects and highlights the elements of human speech”.
The speaker can be charged in a charging station. After three hours of charging, it could be used for about thirteen consecutive hours. The charging station and cables have colored numbers to make connecting the equipment easier.
The speaker will cost 220 euros and will be available in the Netherlands from September.
