New Warzone patch will decrease overall game size

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare/Warzone it has one of the largest installation sizes out there. So far, the game takes up around 200GB of storage, and each new patch that comes out increases its weight considerably, but the most recent one seeks to do just the opposite. A new update is on the way that will add all the content for the Fifth season, and although it will be quite heavy, in the end it will optimize the files to reduce their size.

Paul Haile, producer of Modern Warfare, was in charge of confirming this news, in addition to also revealing that one of the study’s priorities is to reduce the size of the game with each new patch:

“Hello everyone, Season Five is coming soon, and it’s great. With the update we are including all the new content for the season as well as optimizing the data packages.

This means that the download will be huge, but the overall size of the game will actually shrink on your consoles after you download the patch, even though we are including a lot of new content for the season.

It is a priority for us to keep working on reducing the overall size of MW and WZ on your hard drives, but at the same time we will continue to release new seasons for everyone to enjoy. We will continue to work on this to continue reducing space with future updates. ”

The Fifth Season of Modern Warfare y Warzone will be available from this August 5 and here you can take a look at his first trailer, confirming the arrival of a few new ones Operators.
