Langia virus was detected in China. 35 people in Shandong and Henan Provinces have been diagnosed with the disease. The disease is caused by a pathogen called henipavirus, which is spread from animals.

The Langia virus was discovered when throat samples from people with the flu were tested. Symptoms include fever, cough, fatigue and dizziness. There is no specific treatment or vaccine available for this disease. Everyone is under observation.
