Health officials from the city visited one of the new vaccination centers that, as of today, were open in the city.
The new facilities are located in:
- el South Bronx Educational Campus,
- the Bushwick Educational Campus in Brooklyn and
- Hillcrest High School in Jamaica, Queens.
Each center is expected to vaccinate between 5,000 and 7,000 people a day.
They will be operating from nine in the morning until seven at night, 7 days a week.
Officials met at the South Bronx headquarters and noted that these new vaccination centers will go a long way in the fight against coronavirus.
The Health Department said 12 additional vaccination centers will open next week throughout the city.
Those eligible to receive the vaccine are required to make an appointment online through the municipal Health Department website.
