New rules for registration of citizens are planned to be adopted in Kazakhstan

According to the document, registration of Kazakhstanis at the place of residence, registration (registration) at the place of temporary stay (residence) is carried out in residential buildings, apartments, summer houses, gardening partnerships, cooperatives, hostels, hotels, rest homes, sanatoriums, dispensaries, medical institutions , boarding houses, boarding houses, nursing homes, as well as in buildings and premises used for residence (stay) of people.

Registration at the place of residence, registration (registration) at the place of temporary stay (residence) are subject to:

– citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan permanently residing on its territory and moving within the state for the purpose of permanent or temporary residence, as well as those who arrived for permanent residence or temporary residence from abroad;

– foreigners and stateless persons permanently residing in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Persons subject to registration, within 10 calendar days from the date of arrival at a new place of residence or temporary stay (residence), submit the following documents to the authorized body:

– an identity document (children under 16 years old – birth certificate);

– an identity document of the owner of the dwelling place or an attorney (their presence is required), and a written consent of the owner of the dwelling place or an attorney for permanent or temporary registration of the applicant in the form established by the authorized body. When registering in buildings and premises used for the residence (stay) of people, this must be a petition from the administration of the organization (institution) for registration.

Residence registration is permanent. Registration (registration) at the place of temporary stay (residence) is temporary. Temporary registration is carried out for a period of one month to a year.

Children under the age of 16, citizens with a health disorder with a persistent disorder of body functions that limit their vital activity, who are in medical institutions, as well as persons working on a rotational basis, are not subject to registration (registration) at the place of temporary stay (residence) .
