New rules for keeping animals in circuses and zoos are introduced in Russia | Nature | Society

Moscow, December 31 – AIF-Moscow.

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a document introducing new rules for the use of animals in circuses, zoos, dolphinariums and aquariums, reports RIA News.

As specified, the decision will begin to operate on January 1.

According to new requirements, the organization must own a building for keeping animals or a special room with the necessary equipment.

Animals must be looked after by a specialist with a higher biological or veterinary education. It is also forbidden to give them medicines without the permission of a veterinarian in order to increase the effectiveness of their use in cultural and entertainment events.

Earlier it was reported that in Russia they want to introduce special passports for pets.
