Opening terraces and shops under certain conditions is the first step on the roadmap to a ‘normal’ society. Just like the scrapping of the criticized ‘curfew’. Physical higher education will be possible again from April 26, according to the plan. Instead of one visitor, two may come over.
Even more is possible from 11 May. ‘Accommodations for indoor sports’ – such as gyms – may open their doors again. Just like places where art and culture can be seen. The rules for outdoor sports will also be further relaxed. With access tests, the public is also welcome at professional sports competitions.
The reins will be released further on May 26. Even if the level is still ‘serious’. Then four visitors are welcome at home. But more is also allowed outside, since restaurants can open again – under certain conditions – after a long wait. With access tests, events are also possible from then on, where visitors are given a fixed place.
The next step will then be taken on June 16, when the level is said to be ‘worrisome’. Then the pubs may open again – again under certain conditions – and events are allowed. By then, six visitors may be received at home. Cultural institutions will then also be given more space.
On July 7, the situation will be labeled ‘vigilant’. Then restaurants, bars and events will have even more space to be accessible again as usual. Moreover, indoor and outdoor sports are possible for everyone without restrictions. Step six is completely back to normal. There is no date attached to that yet. This will be decided ‘at some point’, according to the opening plan.
The big question is what value the scheme has. Loosening has been offered more often, while things turned out differently afterwards. The caretaker cabinet is now also making a reservation, it can be concluded from the plan. Steps can be moved forward but also moved back, the warning sounds. Moreover, almost every step is taken under certain conditions.
