Status: 04.03.2021 10:05 p.m.

In Lower Saxony, the first police officers were vaccinated against Corona on Thursday. The Federal Ministry of Health has adjusted the vaccination ordinance: Police officers are a prioritized group.

According to the Ministry of the Interior, the state government’s vaccination concept provides for police officers who are exposed to a high risk of infection due to “frequent and unmanageable contact” to be taken into account. Therefore, riot police in Hanover are the first to be vaccinated today. The Ministry of Health has approved AstraZeneca’s vaccine for police officers.
