There is a new positive case to report this Sunday. This is an imported case from Lisbon and the Tagus Valley, so the Region now accounts for 212 confirmed cases of covid-19 in Madeiran territory. There are also seven reported cases that are under study by health authorities.
According to the epidemiological bulletin of IASaúde, the archipelago maintains a total of 157 recovered cases, so there are now 55 active cases, of which 45 are imported and 10 are locally transmitted.
Regarding the isolation of positive cases, 28 people are isolated in a dedicated hotel unit, 26 in their own accommodation and 1 patient is being admitted to the Multipurpose Unit dedicated to covid-19 at Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital.
To date, 15,523 people are being monitored by the health authorities of the various municipalities, using the Madeira Safe application, 7,339 of these people are under active surveillance.
