New K-19 measures have frozen the country! Here is what is changing from today

From 0 o’clock today new measures due to the coronavirus pandemic are in force in Bulgaria. According to an order of the caretaker Minister of Health, they will be in force until the end of the month. Here is what Stoycho Katsarov’s order reads:

As of September 7, Tuesday, with his order, the Minister of Health introduces new anti-epidemic measures on the territory of Bulgaria:

1. Conducting face-to-face group classes in language, educational and other training centers and schools is allowed subject to a physical distance of at least 1.5 m and not more than 10 people indoors and wearing protective masks.

2. Visits to children’s centers, clubs and others providing organized group services for children are suspended.

3. Congresses, conferences, seminars, symposia, trainings, etc. is allowed when using not more than 30% of the capacity of the room and with up to 30 participants, observing physical distance and wearing protective masks.

4. Teambuilding and other organized group events of this nature in work teams are suspended.

5. Conducting competitions and exams is allowed when using no more than 30% of the capacity of the room, with up to 30 participants, subject to a physical distance of at least 1.5 m and wearing protective masks.

6. All mass events are suspended, where those present are not organized with certain seats and the entrance (participation) is unlimited.

7. Visits to cinemas, theaters, circus performances, concerts and other indoor performances are allowed when using no more than 50% of the capacity of the premises, occupying only seats during one and wearing protective masks.

8. Visits to museums and galleries are organized by allowing no more than 1 person per 8 square meters, subject to physical distance and wearing protective masks.

9. Visits to centers, schools and other sites for dance and music are allowed when using no more than 30% of the capacity of the premises and with up to 10 people per room.

10. The holding of sports competitions with a professional character indoors is allowed without an audience.

11. Conducting sports competitions of a professional nature outdoors is allowed with an audience when occupying no more than 30% of the capacity, using only seats when occupying every third seat and wearing protective masks.

12. Visits to fitness centers are allowed when using no more than 30% of the capacity of each room and observing physical distance and wearing a protective mask by staff.

13. Visits to gyms and clubs, swimming pools and complexes are allowed only for individual sports using no more than 30% of their capacity and maintaining a physical distance of at least 1.5 m. Indoor team sports are suspended, with except for trainings and competitions for registered professional athletes.

14. Visits to balneotherapy, SPA, wellness and thalassotherapy centers are allowed when using 30% of their capacity, observing physical distance, wearing protective face masks for services that allow their use, and creating a schedule for individual use of services. .

15. Visits to food and entertainment establishments, gambling halls and casinos are allowed only in the time interval from 7.00 am to 11.00 pm, observing a distance of 1.5 m between the backs of the chairs at the adjacent tables, admission of no more of 6 people at one table and wearing protective masks by staff.

16. Private gatherings are allowed with the participation of no more than 30 people indoors and 60 people outdoors.

17. Natural and legal persons – owners or managers of commercial, administrative or other sites providing services to citizens, create an organization to control the number of customers in the site, not allowing more than 1 person per 8 square meters.

18. At markets, marketplaces, bazaars and exhibitions, an organization is created for one-way traffic, ensuring control of entrants and admitting no more than 1 person per 8 square meters and wearing a protective mask by workers and visitors.

The introduced anti-epidemic measures under items 1, 3, 7, 8, 9, 12 and 13 may not be applied under the following conditions:

-100% of the staff has been vaccinated or has suffered from COVID-19, or has a negative result from a pre-entry / event test, certified with valid vaccination, disease or test documents, and

– the manager of the site / organizer of the event has made a decision and has created the necessary organization for admission only of persons who:

  • have been vaccinated or have suffered from COVID-19, certified by valid vaccination or disease documents, or
  • present a negative result from a PCR or rapid antigen test performed up to 72 hours before entering the site / event (up to 48 hours before entering the site / event).

The obligatory distance of 1.5 m between the backs of the chairs on the adjacent tables and the admission of not more than 6 people on one table (under item 15) may not be applied if the specified conditions are met.

The order is valid until 31.10.2021.
