In the wake of the corona crisis and state aid, the Lufthansa Group renegotiated the schedule of its aircraft deliveries with Airbus and Boeing. To cut costs, the aviation group will only buy a maximum of 80 new aircraft by 2023. Now it is also clear what the planning for the current and the coming year looks like.

Lufthansa boss Carsten Spohr said at the presentation of the quarterly figures on Thursday (August 6) that a total of 23 aircraft would be accepted in 2020. The following year the group will receive twelve more planes. aeroTELEGRAPH now has the exact allocation to models.

First two A320 Neo for Swiss

In the first quarter of 2020, the Lufthansa Group already received three Airbus A320 Neo, one A350-900 and three A320-200. However, these A320-200s are not new aircraft, but used-leased jets for Austrian Airlines. Another followed in June.
