Today, Monday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 412 people recovering from the Corona virus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovering according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson of the Ministry, stated that 1566 new cases were proven positive for laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the surveillance, investigation and necessary examinations conducted by the Ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 83 new cases.
The ministry had recorded yesterday, 1265 cases proved positive laboratory analyzes of the virus, and the death of 81 cases.
“According to the recommendations of the World Health Organization issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days of infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Coruna virus,” Mujahid said in a statement today.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until Monday, is 66,754 cases, including 17,951 cases that have been cured, and 2,872 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to raise its preparations in all governorates of the Republic, follow the situation first-hand regarding the “emerging corona” virus, and take all necessary precautions against any viruses or infectious diseases, and the ministry has allocated a number of means of communication to receive citizens’ inquiries about the emerging corona virus and infectious diseases Including the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the “Health Egypt” application available on phones.
