New here? | P2P lending

Hi I am Denny! Nice that you found your way to my finance blog!

If you have clicked on this page, you might be wondering what this blog is all about and what you can take with you here. So let’s get started right away.

What is re: think P2P loans about?

As you can already guess, this blog is about P2P lending. This is still a relatively new form of investment in which investors can achieve a decent return by financing personal loans and thus escape the current zero interest rate policy.

The chances are as high as the risks, which is why differentiated and in-depth reporting is essential. And that’s exactly what this blog stands for! At re: think P2P lending, I would like to help retail investors make the right investment decisions in the field of Investment P2P loans hold true. To do this, I analyze, among other things, the business models of the P2P platforms, question their developments, share my personal experiences and observe overarching trends from the world of crowdfunding.

How do i start

If you are new to P2P and do not know exactly how to start, there are a few basics to learn first. That’s exactly why I wrote the book “Investment P2P loans“Written. It covers almost 200 pages about the basics, risks and investment strategies for P2P loans. At Amazon there is both the paperback (11.99 euros) and the eBook (6.99 euros) to buy. If you’d rather listen than read, you can too the audiobook at Audible buy (7.95 euros, free in the trial month).

Which P2P platform suits me?

After you have familiarized yourself with the topic, you will certainly want to get started and gain your first experience. But which P2P platform do you start with? It is quite normal that you don’t see the forest for the trees at the beginning. Many financial bloggers benefit from registering with as many providers as possible and “diversifying” your investment.

But isn’t diversification a good thing? Absolutely! But it depends on the context!

At the credit level, the general rule is: the more, the better. But when it comes to diversification at the platform level, I am personally convinced of concentration versus diversification. At a Survey evaluation carried out in October 2020 the Latvian P2P platform PeerBerry, 50.6% of the investors (2,975 participants) stated that they have already lost money on fraudulent P2P platforms. What this ultimately means for the return does not need to be explained further.

On average, every second PeerBerry investor has been affected by a scam!

On the website “P2P platforms comparison“, You will find a list of European P2P platforms on which you can currently invest. The page should serve as an orientation for you, how individual providers differ from each other. But keep in mind that it won’t be necessary to try all of them!

If you want to know which P2P platforms I personally invest in, then take a look at “my P2P portfolio“On the blog. I’m not just showing here Where I invest, but also with how much Money i’m invested.

P2P testimonials

As a further orientation for the selection of individual P2P platforms, I also have it on the blog 360 degree analyzes and experience reports published on certain P2P platforms. There are already extensive analyzes for the following P2P platforms:
