New government decision: The mask remains mandatory at the office and for vaccinated people. There is only one exception

The order allowing employees not to wear a mask at the office, if they were vaccinated, was amended. It is allowed to waive the protection measure only in the case of those who work alone in the room.

The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a new order amending a document issued by the same institutions, establishing the obligation to wear a protective mask, epidemiological triage and mandatory disinfection of hands to prevent contamination with SARS-CoV-2 virus during the state alert

According to the new decisions, the wearing of the mask is eliminated only if the employee is alone in the office; in the previous version it was provided that this measure could be abolished even if “everyone in the office is vaccinated against the SARS-CoV-2 virus for which 10 days have passed since the completion of the complete vaccination schedule”.

In fact, the prime minister Florin Cîțu announced this change on Saturday. „I know the Order of the Minister of Health, I think it is a decision before analyzing it very well, from June 1 we will take this decision“, Said Cîțu.

When it was pointed out that the document was taking effect, being published in the Official Gazette, the head of government said that the measure would be repealed.

I think this order will change. For now with a mask at work, indoors, this order will be changed, after June 1 we discuss otherwise“, Added Cîțu.
