New Florida season: a sensational prime time

The return to Florida will make noise this Saturday: Malagasy rockers Dizzy Brains return for a new tour, three years after their last visit.

This Saturday, September 24, marks the resumption of operations in Florida. The beginning of the school year begins with the return of the musical awakening workshops. The first, “Le voyage de Doudou Bizarre”, has already existed for a season. Under the supervision of the musician Cyril Lacombe, trained in music therapy, children from 4 years old will be able to exploit his knowledge in many styles (reggae, swing, electro and metal) to discover the secrets of music. Especially since Cyril is assisted in his mission by a nice mascot: Doudou Bizarre!

The workshop will start at 11:00 10 euros per session.

The second musical awakening will be open not only to 3-year-olds, but also to their parents. Baby Boum is a dive into the world of sound. Also hosted by Cyril Lacombe, it doesn’t require you to be a musician already. On the contrary, the activities it offers focus on discovering instruments and rhythms. Come and learn with your family from 4:30 pm, for 5 euros per person.

Even this Saturday, at 7:30 pm, the hostilities begin. The Dizzy Brains are back. In 2019 they presented their album “Tany Razana”, a concentrate of punk-garage rock made in Madagascar and sung in English. In December 2021 they released “Dahalo”, which this time is almost performed in Malagasy. The Dahalo are the bandits of southern Madagascar. Banditry, corruption, precariousness, insecurity … All this directly affects the four musicians, because unfortunately, for them, it is topical. Their anger at this situation is reflected in their rock, mixed with an unwavering love for their country. Their concert was supposed to take place on Lou Corna’s farm, but Mother Nature, having her mood, has been postponed to Florida. A DJ set by Pete Bondurant will follow to extend the evening in a soul, rhythm’n blues and garage atmosphere.
