New FAUST guest auditor program published by Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences

Krefeld/Moenchengladbach. The Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences has presented the guest student program FAUST for the 2023 summer semester. The offer is aimed at all interested people and offers an extensive educational and cultural program with over 200 lectures and seminars. The events take place in presence, digital or hybrid form. Registration is possible from February 13 to March 10, 2023.

The offers include lecture series on philosophical, art historical, creative and age-related topics. For example, different speakers will deal with the topic of “Sustainability as a social challenge”. Likewise, Miriam Grates, employee at the Competence Center “Resource-Oriented Aging Research” (REAL) will hold a public lecture series on the research field “Technology and Aging”. In addition, Dr. Dirk Tölke on the art-historical development of European art and its interaction with other world cultures.

In addition, selected courses from the regular range of courses at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in the fields of chemistry, design, electrical engineering and computer science, mechanical engineering and process engineering, ecotrophology, social affairs, textile and clothing technology, economics and health care, as well as language courses can be attended.

Digital events are held with the video conferencing software Zoom. A microphone and a webcam are helpful, but not required. For newcomers, introductory courses for the use of Zoom and the learning platform “moodle” are offered before the start of the semester.

The guest student fee is €125 per semester for all courses. All guest students receive an ID card that entitles them to use the canteen, the language centers and the libraries. The program booklet can be obtained in digital and printed form from the homepage. You can register online or in writing between February 13 and March 10, 2023, and in person in Mönchengladbach and Krefeld between February 27 and March 10, 2023.
