The Ministry of Health’s annual free influenza vaccination campaign continues.

With the doses distributed this week, the Ministry of Health distributed 2,430,000 doses of vaccine, representing over 80% of the total number purchased for the 2020-2021 season. The last dose of influenza vaccine will be provided in early December.

Who has priority in vaccination?

Until November 15, during the free vaccination campaign of the Ministry of Health, a number of 652,393 people from the risk categories were vaccinated.

The situation of respiratory infections

According to INSP, at the national level, the total number of cases of acute respiratory infections (clinical flu, IACRS and pneumonia) was 43,871, 48.1% lower compared to the same week of the previous season (84,603) and 2.6% lower compared to the previous week (45,068).

To date, only one laboratory-confirmed influenza case and no confirmed influenza virus deaths have been reported.
