Mainland China reported 27,164 new coronavirus infections on Friday, the eighth consecutive day of decline. The number of confirmed infections appears to be declining as widespread coronavirus testing, which required a negative test to enter public parks, eased after an upward trend last month.
In China, the number of new infections peaked at 38,808 on the 27th of last month but has been on a downward trend since then.

On the morning of the 6th, the city of Beijing announced that a negative test will no longer be required to access most public facilities. China has followed Shanghai and Shenzhen in easing coronavirus testing requirements as officials try to deal with the outbreak in a more focused way.
