A new corona virus variant, the so-called Mexican mutant, has been found in Limburg. Write that The Telegraph in The Limburger Thursday.
At least ten people would have become infected in Sittard, Maastricht, Born and Beek.
The Mexican variant is said to have similarities with the British, Brazilian and South African variants. The virus mutation may also be more contagious than the original corona virus.
According to The Telegraph virologists have no idea how the virus variant emerged in the Netherlands. The virus mutation would also have occurred in Curaçao and Aruba.
