The international road and mountain bike calendar has already received an update from the UCI, now the final program of the World Cup cyclocross has also been announced. The crosses in Waterloo, Dublin and Antwerp are shifting to next year.

The crosses start at the beginning of November. There will also be only eleven instead of the fourteen originally planned motos. In this way, overlaps with the road classics are avoided.

It means that the scheduled games of October 4 and 18, Waterloo (United States) and Dublin (Ireland), will move on to season 2021 – 2022. Zonhoven, scheduled for October 25, will replace Antwerp on December 13, which will also be transferred to next year.

“It seemed appropriate to all parties to shift the start of the 2020 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup to the beginning of November,” explains Tomas Van Den Spiegel, CEO of Flanders Classics. “This is partly due to the shifting of the road season, which has its center of gravity in October. And on the other hand, because of the uncertainties that still exist today regarding the measures in force in the future, national and international, to keep the covid-19 pandemic under control. UCI and we are grateful to the organizers and the cities for their constructive and flexible attitude. We also hope that the financial effort we put in on the local organizers will help them organize in these circumstances. ”

The new calendar:

1/11: Overijse

15/11: Tabor

22/11: Koksijde
