new business verification could cost a whopping $1,000

The CEO of Twitter continues to look for new ways to reduce the economic crisis of the social network.

Elon Musk and his latest controversial decision on Twitter

Twitter is going through its worst economic crisis of history and Elon Musk is looking for any excuse to increase the financial benefits of the social network. After the great controversy caused by Twitter Blue and many other decisions by the business tycoon, he has now introduced a new payment method in which brands and companies must pay $1,000 monthly to keep your verification badge.

In addition, organizations will also have to pay 50 additional dollars per month for your affiliated accounts to maintain the golden verification check. According to The InformationTwitter’s new plans are in the process of being finalized but could still change.

Twitter Blue for Business

This Twitter strategic plan is part of the new service called “Twitter Blue for Business. Apparently, the social network has been sending emails to companies that are registered with Twitter to promote the golden verification badges.

Twitter offers other improvements with its gold badges for companies through which it promises increase reach and engagement of the tweets.

“Next week I will contact you and you will be eligible for Tweet Boosting, which will increase the search and distribution of your organization and its affiliates whenever you tweet.”

Alongside this initiative, Elon Musk also wants to offer ad revenue to creators. But if they want to join, they must be subscribed to Twitter Blue Verified. This was announced by the billionaire CEO of Tesla from the social network itself at the end of last week:

“Starting today, Twitter will share ad revenue with creators for ads that appear in their threads.”

Social networks are changing towards more lucrative business models, as in the case of Instagram, which has changed a lot since its birth. There are many users who have chosen to leave the social network as a symbol of protest or disagreement with the changes that Elon Musk is implementing on the social network. If that is your case, you can follow this method to delete your Twitter account from your iPhone or iPad. What do you think about this new decision by Elon Musk and how do you think it will affect business accounts on Twitter?
