New Assassin’s Creed game is called Valhalla and plays in era of Vikings – Gaming – News

Ubisoft’s new Assassin’s Creed game is subtitled with Valhalla and themed as the Vikings. On Thursday afternoon, the publisher will publish a trailer about the new game in the long-running series.

Ubisoft revealed the theme of the new Assassin’s Creed game over hours Photoshop live stream, in which artist Kode Abdo slowly constructed a thematic image and drew it in with details. Known under the name BossLogic, he often creates artwork for games.

There had been quite some time rumors that the era of the Vikings would be central to the new title, and the official BossLogic image confirms that. Not only ax-armed Vikings and their ships can be seen, but also snow-covered, presumably Norwegian mountains and battles with what are probably English soldiers. The subtitle Valhalla refers to heaven for fallen warriors, which the Vikings believed in at the time.

Other than the image, few other details have been revealed about the new title. Ubisoft will change this on Thursday afternoon at 5:00 PM Dutch time; the first game trailer will be released at that time. Perhaps it will become clear when the game will be released, which exact period is central and whether the title will also be made for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

Ubisoft Montreal seems to be in charge of developing the game. The studio has let us know on Twitter that it has worked on fourteen different studios around the world on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. In total, about ten studios were involved in the development of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, the last game in the series, which was released in October 2018.
