Netflix hires former Apple executive Bozoma Saint John

Former Apple marketing manager Bozoma Saint John joins Netflix. Saint John, who left Apple for Uber in 2017, will join the streaming giant after also working as a CMO for the Endeavor holding company.

At Netflix, Bozoma Saint John will report to chief content officer Ted Sarandos, who, speaking of the new hire, said that “It would define and guide our next exciting phase of creativity and connection with consumers”.

Saint John joined Apple for the first time in 2014 after the acquisition of Beats Music. During his time at Apple, Saint John was responsible for global marketing for Apple Music and iTunes. She has worked on advertising and marketing campaigns with Taylor Swift, Mary J. Blige, Kerry Washington and Taraji P. Henson. She even appeared in an advertisement for the 2016 Emmy Awards.

In 2017, Saint John was named one of the “most powerful businesswomen” by Black Enterprise magazine. She also appeared on the Billboard Power 100 list the same year.

From now on, it is at Netflix that she intends to use all her experience.
