Nerve-wracking! Passengers Fall onto the Platform at Manggarai Station

A video that shows the tension because there is a female user KRL fell onto the train platform in Manggarai Station, Tebet, South Jakarta. Luckily, the woman survived.

In the video circulating, it can be seen that the KRL has just started after transiting at Manggarai Station. Suddenly there was a scream because there was a female passenger who fell onto the platform.

Suddenly the station security officers immediately went down to the platform area. After the train passed, officers immediately approached the woman who had fallen.

The victim was curled up on the platform until officers evacuated him.

Contacted separately, the Manager of External Relations & Corporate Image Care of KAI Commuter, Leza Arlan explained the chronology of the incident. The incident occurred on Friday (24/6) at around 17:38 WIB.

The woman was about to ride the KRL connection Cikarang-Kampung Bandan on platform 6-7 Manggarai Station.

“This incident happened when the passenger wanted to continue the journey and wanted to take the KRL. The station security officers swiftly served on platform 6-7 to help after the KRL crossed and immediately took them to the station health post to be given first aid,” said Leza in a written statement, Saturday. (25/6/2022).

“After being treated at the health post and making sure his condition is good, the user resumes his journey using the KRL.

For this incident, Leza appealed to all KRL users who will enter the KRL to always queue in an orderly manner, prioritizing users who will leave the KRL and stand on the platform by not blocking users who will leave the KRL. He also reminded prospective passengers not to force entry if the conditions inside the KRL were already crowded.

“To maintain mutual safety, the announcer at the station always reminds users who are waiting for a train journey to always pay attention to the safe waiting distance, namely standing not crossing the yellow dividing line. KAI Commuter also continues to remind users who want to enter the KRL to always pay attention to the gap between platform with the train. For mutual safety, always follow the directions from the officers at the station,” he added.
