Processing operations

The prefecture recalls that in order to “limit the spread of the virus, the vector control teams of the ARS and the SDIS maintain their interventions day and night”. “These treatment operations are today essential to fight against the epidemic, accompanied by the active mobilization of Reunion people on a daily basis,” said the prefecture.

The prefecture and the ARS remind the entire population, “even in this period of confinement, the need to apply essential preventive measures to combat dengue: quickly consult a doctor in case of symptoms, protect yourself mosquito bites and continue to protect even the sick to protect those close to them, and eliminate breeding places at their home. “

Good gestures

– Protect yourself from mosquito bites (repellents, mosquito nets, long clothes, diffusers), and continue to protect yourself even if you are ill so as not to contaminate those around you
– Empty everything that may contain water at your home (eliminate breeding places): saucers and small objects, check the flow of gutters, respect the days for removing waste, shelter the tires
– Consult a doctor if symptoms appear: fever possibly associated with headaches, muscle / joint pain, nausea, vomiting or fatigue.
