NBA New York fans begin to believe in their new partner
LTom Thibodeau’s New York Knicks seem to be beginning to show a smile among New York fans, excited after many years of trouble in the Big Apple. Especially with the pairing of rookie Obi Toppin and sophomore RJ Barrett already connecting on the court with spectacular action they cling to at Madison.
Along with them, Julius Randle stands out, who scored 18 points and contributed five rebounds and led the balanced attack of the New York Knicks that won 100-93 against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Pvot Mitchel Robinson emerged as the leader in the Knicks’ inside game and posted a double-double of 13 points, 10 rebounds and had four blocks.
Another tall man, power forward Andre Drummond had an 18-point double-double, grabbed 14 rebounds and dished out five assists.
Coach Billy Donovan returned to Oklahoma City, but this time as coach of the Chicago Bulls and his new team beat easily 103-124 the one he managed until last season, the Thunder.
Point guard Coby White with 27 points and guard Zach LaVine, who reached 24, were the Bulls’ leading scorers.
While the Dominican pvot Al Horford, a new Thunder player, led the Oklahoma team with 15 points and seven rebounds.
