The basketball world was looking forward to the clash between Phoenix and Golden State, the two best teams in the NBA. It was only the first time in the NBA that 2 teams from the same division (Pacific) met with a win percentage of at least 85% after 20 games.
The Suns lost Devin Booker to a hamstring injury in the second quarter, but made the difference in the final phase. At 92-91, Jae Crowder made the difference with two rake shots, Golden State couldn’t get over that tap: 104-96.
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry had his day. He did not go further than 12 points, equaling his all-time low this season. The Warriors failed to score 100 points for the first time this season.
The Phoenix Suns wrote part 17 of their winning streak, which equals the club record from 2007. Phoenix and Golden State now share the lead in the West with the best reports in the NBA. A new game will follow in San Francisco on Friday.

In the other games, Anthony Davis made up for the absence of LeBron James (in isolation or quarantine due to the corona rules in the NBA) against the Sacramento Kings (117-92) with 25 points.
And the Brooklyn Nets were the best in the “derby” against the New York Knicks. James Johnson cashed in his two free throws in the closing seconds: 112-110.
