The National Highways Authority and Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation have achieved the Guinness World Record for constructing the longest double overpass on a single pillar. The double flyovers were built with a length of 3.14 km. Three metro stations are also within this distance – Chhatrapati Nagar, Jai Prakash Nagar and Ujjwal Nagar.
The other day Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari had liked National Highways Authority and Maharashtra Metro. Gadkari said the world record was achieved after being included in Asia Book Record and India Book Record. He added that he is very grateful to those who have worked for this result and it is a moment of pride for the country.
