National Emergency System reported 8,325 active cases of COVID-19

This Sunday, March 7, according to the latest report from the National Emergency System (Sinae), 5,403 tests were analyzed for the detection of COVID-19 and 833 new cases of the disease were identified. So far, there are 8,325 active cases and 87 patients remain in intensive care. On the day, 6 people died: 3 from Montevideo, 1 from Durazno and 2 from Rivera.

Of the 833 new cases, 460 are from Montevideo, 85 from Canelones, 64 from Rivera, 34 from Cerro Largo, 32 from Artigas, 27 from Tacuarembó, 22 from Paysandú, 16 from Salto, 15 from Río Negro, 13 from Maldonado, 12 from San José, 11 from Durazno, 11 from Florida, 9 from Colonia, 6 from Soriano, 4 from Flores, 4 from Lavalleja, 4 from Rocha and 4 from Treinta y Tres. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 1,065,598 have been processed and 63,837 cases of coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 54,861 people have already recovered.

Today 6 deaths were confirmed after diagnoses of SARS-CoV-2 in our country. It is about 1 Durazno patient, 51 years old; 2 patients from Rivera, 73 and 87 years old, and 3 patients from Montevideo, 71, 90 and 91 years old. So far, there are 651 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

Currently, there are 8325 active cases, that is, people with the disease; 87 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 3,442 correspond to health personnel. 3,116 of those affected have already recovered, 319 are in the process of recovery and 7 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.
