National Assembly votes for Boyko Borissov to appear at a hearing on April 21, scandal ensues

The deputies decided that Prime Minister Boyko Borissov should be obliged to appear in the National Assembly to present the Plan for Reconstruction and Sustainability on Wednesday, April 21 at 9:00 AM.

The decision was taken by 135 votes in favor. The only objections were from GERB / ​​70 /, which demanded a re-vote. There were shouts and shouts in the hall. 145 of the deputies supported the request for the second vote, while GERB abstained.

The plan must be sent to the European Commission by April 30.

A scandal ensued in the hall, caused by GERB’s insistence that Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev be heard under the Plan. However, the chairperson of the meeting, Tatiana Doncheva, stated that the agenda was on the agenda and that if Mr. Tomislav Donchev wanted to be heard, it would happen another time.

According to the agenda, as item 4 the Minister of Finance Kiril Ananiev should be heard about the state of the state budget and the amount of the fiscal reserve.

All the while, Minister Ananiev stood by the bank to speak. “Will the minister come to answer?” Tatiana Doncheva asked, interrupting the session for 10 minutes and convening a parliamentary council of presidents.

After the Council of Presidents, the deputies voted and agreed that the hearings of the Minister of Finance would be canceled for next Wednesday.

The procedure of whether the prime minister should come to the National Assembly and be present in person during the debate on the resignation of the cabinet has heated up the parliamentary forces. After a sharp legal dispute, the deputies finally accepted with 156 votes “For” the resignation of the cabinet “Borisov 3”.

The results of the vote were met with applause by some MEPs in plenary. There were no speeches from the GERB-UDF parliamentary group.

The release of the National Operational Headquarters from the cabinet in resignation provoked violent reactions, both on the sidelines of the Parliament and in the Plenary Hall with a series of declarations.
