Three people were injured when a recreational vehicle (RV) exploded on Christmas Day in Nashville, the state capital of Tennessee in the southern United States.

The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) initiated an investigation of the incident as a deliberate action.

Nashville police said they had found the vehicle in question after being reported that gunshots were heard.

A warning message appeared from the car that the bomb would go off in 15 minutes, and the police immediately evacuated nearby residents and called a dangerous goods squad. However, the vehicle exploded before reaching the scene.

Nashville police officials say three people were injured and taken to hospital and there were no serious injuries.
