Team Penske ⁢qualifies Strong for NASCAR Cup series Championship at Phoenix

Avondale, Arizona – november 1, 2025 – Team Penske drivers posted ⁣solid qualifying runs Saturday afternoon at Phoenix Raceway, setting the stage for⁢ a championship showdown⁤ on ‌Sunday. All ‍three Penske Ford Mustang Dark⁤ Horses will‌ start inside the top-10 for⁢ the NASCAR Cup Series season finale.

Austin Cindric will roll ‍off fourth in the⁤ No. 2 Discount Tire Ford Mustang Dark Horse. Ryan Blaney qualified fifth in the No. 12 Menards/Dutch⁣ boy Ford ‌Mustang‌ Dark Horse, while defending champion Joey Logano‍ secured a 10th-place starting position in the No. 22⁤ Shell-Pennzoil Ford Mustang Dark Horse.

Team Penske boasts a strong history‍ at‍ the one-mile oval, having secured‍ five Cup Series ‍victories at Phoenix Raceway. The ‍team is also⁢ riding a streak of three consecutive series⁤ championships clinched at the Arizona track.

Logano, a four-time Phoenix race winner (2016, 2020, 2022, 2024),⁢ has 33 career Cup Series starts at the track, achieving a top-10 finish in over half of those races. He also‍ holds nine⁢ top-five‌ and 17 top-10 results at Phoenix, tying Las ⁢Vegas Motor Speedway ⁢as the track where⁢ he ⁢has ‍earned the most career wins. His most recent ⁣victory at Phoenix came in ‌last⁢ year’s championship race, securing his third ⁣Cup Series title.

“Yesterday was definitely a difficult read‍ with as many cautions as we had in ⁣practice,” said Cindric. “But I definitely thought we had a fast ‌Discount⁤ Tire Ford. These single day qualifying sessions are ‌kind of a beast of‌ their own, going out there and running a fast lap in tricky conditions, so it’s a good, solid start. Qualifying⁢ and pit selection are all very important here, so we’ll take that and go try to⁤ get ⁣a great ‍result from it.”

Sunday’s championship race‍ is scheduled to begin⁤ at 3 p.m. ET, with live coverage on⁢ NBC and radio broadcasts available on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90).
