NASA’s Curiosity Rover Finds Corals on Mars, Hints of New Life?

Curiositythe fourth rover sent by the United States to Marslaunched on November 26, 2011 and landed on planet it was on August 5, 2012.

The mission was led by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory NASAand involved nearly 500 scientists from the United States and other countries around the world.

Curiosity explored 154 km (96 miles) of Gale Crater and obtained samples of rock, soil, and air for analysis on board.

This car-sized rover is as tall as a basketball player and uses a 2.1 m (7 ft) long arm to place the tool near the rock selected for study.

Its large size allows it to carry a sophisticated set of science instruments.

One of which is Mars Hand Lens Imager (MAHLI), a rover version of the magnifying hand lens that geologists usually bring to the field.
