As reported by the Daily Mail Tuesday (2/11/2021), the crimson star is known as CW Leonis and has a ‘terrible glow’ that radiates throughout space.

“The crimson red giant photo of CW Leonis looks like something out of a Halloween story. The star looks like it’s trapped in an orange spider web that wraps it around,” NASA said in a statement.
The space organization added that although the star looks like a ‘hypnotic vortex’, its sinister illusion actually occurs because it is out of light.
“The bright beam of light emanating from CW Leonis is one of the star’s most striking features. It has changed in brightness over a 15 year period which is a very short period of time in astronomical terms.” NASA.
