Naps says stop rap and breaks his gold record

While Naps is in full swing in his career now, he decides to stop everything. In a video that has gone viral in the rap universe at the moment, the Marseille rapper announces that he wants to stop everything by breaking his certification.

A strong gesture

This is a rare case in French rap and more generally in music, few artists decide to stop their career once they reach the top of the charts. Still, that’s the choice Naps seems to have made.

On social networks, a video (shot in selfie mode) shows him visibly nervous enough, breaking the gold record received for his latest album, We are made for that. A gesture accompanied by speech, judge rather:

“Okay family, let me explain. For me, the music is over you saw. I can’t stand it anymore … it’s over, that’s it. I had a good time, thank you for all those who supported me, but here I am, you saw, I decided to stop everything, it’s over for me … Look “. Words spoken just before breaking his certification, in a video taken up and broadcast in particular by TuvaparlerTV.

Note that on his Instagram page (which in story promotes a showcase in Luxembourg), all posts have been deleted.

A hell of a career…

Goodbye the certifications and the top of the charts for the Marseille artist. Naps, it’s still quite a career for a 28 year old young man. After starting in Marseille with the group Click 11.43, he will have sailed solo and proposed the project Ma vie & ma ville in 2015.

Its explosion with the general public will come with the tube Pochon Bleu and the self-titled album certified double platinum disc (2017). Then come the free mixtape

As a team Volume 1 (2017), the album A l’instinct (2018) became a platinum disc and finally the last in the series, We are made for that, released on June 28, 2019.
