(CNN) — After making landfall as a hurricane early Thursday on the coast of Belize, Nana began to lose intensity and degraded to a tropical storm, according to the most recent report from the National Hurricane Center (NHC).
Now with maximum sustained winds of 110 kilometers per hour, Nana was 110 kilometers southwest of Belize City and was moving at a speed of 24 km / h, according to the report.
On the predicted track, Nana will continue to advance inland over Guatemala and the extreme southeast Mexico this Thursday and overnight.
Rapid weakening is forecast during the day and night and Nana is likely to become a minimal carryover on Friday, the report says.
