The big bank UBS is involved in a big way with the New York Islanders. The bank has secured the exclusive naming rights to the sports and event facility and the future stadium of the New York Islanders for 20 years.
The UBS Arena in Belmont Park in Elmont, New York State, is scheduled to open for the 2021/22 NHL season. UBS writes about its new sponsoring project that the arena will “come up with more than 150 events every year”.
The comprehensive renovation project would create 10,000 jobs in the construction industry and 3,000 full-time positions. The project, which is estimated at 1.5 billion US dollars, will generate economic activity of 25 billion US dollars, according to the bank.
