According to specialists from the insurance company Soglasie, the Korean Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sorento, as well as the Japanese Mitsubishi Outlander, became the most stolen cars in Russia last year.
“The frequency of Hyundai Tucson thefts was the highest – 0.43%. Mitsubishi Outlander – 0.17%, Kia Sorento – 0.14%. This is followed by Hyundai Creta (0.09%), Honda CR-V (0.07%), Renault Sandero (0.08%) and Kia Ceed (0.06%). Following are Kia Rio, Toyota Camry and Renault Duster: their figures are 0.04% and 0.03% respectively,” the company noted.
According to experts, most black (28%), white (27%) and gray (19%) cars were stolen. Cars of other colors are less popular among attackers: for example, blue and brown vehicles were stolen in 8.2% of cases, red – in 5.5%, silver and beige – in 2.8% of cases.
