Nadal again leaves the end-of-year tournament ATP Finals empty-handed

Rafael Nadal will not win the ATP Finals this year either. The Spaniard was defeated in London at the unofficial World Cup for the best eight players of the year in the semifinals by the Russian Daniil Medvedev: 6-3, 6-7 (4), 3-6.

Nadal has won all Grand Slam tournaments, the Olympic Games and most of the Masters tournaments in his career. Only the ATP Finals and the master tournaments of Paris, Miami and Shanghai are missing from his honors list when it comes to major titles.

Nadal was twice in the final of the Finals: in 2010 and 2013. He lost to Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.

Djokovic also fell

Djokovic also stranded in the semi-finals this time. He just fell short against Dominic Thiem, who will decide on Sunday with Medvedev who can call himself winner of the Finals for the first time.
