Seoul,South Korea – November 7,2025 – Myeong-seon Yoon,former president of the Music Producers Association,has been honored with the ‘2025 FTMI Music Creator Achievement Award’ at the General Assembly of the World Federation of Music Creators. The award recognizes Yoon’s meaningful contributions to strengthening the rights and interests of music creators,both domestically and internationally.
yoon’s leadership spanned 2014 to 2018 as president of the Music Producers Association, where he focused on building a stronger institutional foundation for the institution. He later extended his advocacy as chairman of the Asia Pacific Music Creators’ alliance (APMA), championing creator rights throughout the Asian region. This recognition from FTMI – a non-profit supporting over 500,000 global music creators – underscores the growing international acknowledgement of Korean music creators and their value. The award is expected to further elevate the conversation around fair compensation and openness in the digital music economy.
Beyond his work in music management, Yoon has recently expanded his creative pursuits into literature, with his debut poetry collection scheduled for release on November 25th. the Music Producers Association stated that Yoon’s award “is a significant event that has raised the status of Korean music creators,” and expressed hope that it will “serve as an prospect for Korean music creators to be recognized for their fair value on the world stage.” FTMI, established in 2014, aims to foster an ethical and sustainable music ecosystem through international collaboration.
