the Royal Malaysian Police’s (PDRM) MyBayar mobile application is now exclusively accessible through the national digital identification system, MyDigital ID. Users will be required to authenticate via MyDigital ID to utilize the app for settling summonses and traffic fines.
This shift, announced by the Communications Ministry, marks a further integration of MyDigital ID into essential government services. The move aims to enhance security and streamline digital verification processes for online transactions with PDRM. Beyond law enforcement, MyDigital ID is expanding its reach, with prepaid SIM card registrations slated to require the digital ID by year-end and CTOS Digital berhad already leveraging the platform to fortify its electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) procedures. The implementation of MyDigital ID across these platforms underscores the government’s commitment to a unified and secure digital identity framework for all Malaysians.
