My successor will carry on with the system we have built in response to the epidemic

I am convinced that my successor, certainly an extremely competent expert, will be able to continue this system, which we have built in response to the unusual thing, which was the coronavirus epidemic – said Minister of Health Łukasz Szumowski on Tuesday.

Who will be the new health minister?

Szumowski emphasized at a press conference on Tuesday, at which he informed about his resignation from the function of the minister of health, that he was convinced that his successor “certainly an extremely competent expert will now be able to use the system that we have built in response to such an epidemic (coronavirus – PAP) – there has been no such thing for a hundred years – to go further ”.

Szumowski also spoke about other extremely important issues that he took up during his term in office, such as oncology.

This is a big topic that has been done successfully, the oncology network; thanks to cooperation with the president, we managed to develop an oncological strategy – for the first time in the history of Poland, we have such a document
