Mutants, a film group

After several months postponed, the group Niños Mutantes was finally able to play their ‘Ventanas’ live, the eleventh (and a half) album from Granada. It was for two nights at the CajaGranada theater, in a concert broadcast by Radio-3. The concerts were also recorded on video and now they go to the cinema under the name ‘I’ll never forget tonight’, as its singer Juan Alberto said as soon as he appeared on stage. The ‘Live Windows’ movie has become a two-hour documentary that enriches the vision of what happened on stage with statements from the protagonists themselves. It will begin to be screened from January 28 in more than 40 theaters at Cine Yelmo.

The album was number 4 in sales in the middle of the quarantine, “showing that the public was hungrier for Mutants than ever”, as they say in their promotions company.

From the extensive tour they had planned to take their album throughout the Spanish geography in 2020, only their participation in the En Órbita ‘pocket’ of Carmen de los Mártires, the two nights of CajaGranada and its Madrid premiere last weekend, filling the Riviera.

Expanding its cinematographic possibilities, to call a different audience, many movie theater chains have included live concert films and even operas in their programming. The Mutants thus join this relationship of artists ‘of the seventh art’ who enter the dark rooms such as Michael Jackson, The Bolshoi Ballet, David Gilmour, Bon Jovi, Stones or David Bowie. The film comes to the big screen thanks to Cervezas Alhambra, in a music support program, where the Granada brand has been present.
