Musk denies he demanded to become Apple boss

Elon Musk has thrown himself into the quarrel between Epic Games and Apple.

Updated, 10:29 PM:

Musk supports Epic

This is of course about the ongoing case between the two where Epic claims that Apple are monopolists in relation to the App Store, and demands that they do their own thing, while Apple claims that they protect users by approving all apps manually and that they stand for marketing and platform development.

Musk has now taken a side in the case, and he believes that Epic has the right to sue Apple, and that “Apple app store fees de factor is a global online tax. Epic is right ”.

Tim Cook admires Musk

But there are more controversies tonight. This is a rumor, must know, but the Daily Mail claims that Musk demanded to become Apple CEO in connection with Apple’s rumored acquisition of Tesla in 2016.

Musk denies it all, saying he and Apple CEO Tim Cook have neither spoken nor written to each other. This is in stark contrast to what is claimed in the upcoming book Powerplay, a new book that allegedly describes a 2016 situation where Musk is said to have demanded to become boss of Apple, and that it all should have ended with Cook asking Musk to go hell and then hang up.

Tim Cook had the following to say:

You know, I’ve never talked to Elon, but I have great admiration and respect for the company he’s built.

Tim Cook, Apple CEO
