Music, theater and fireworks to celebrate the Festas do Verán de Boiro

The City Council of Boiro has designed a special program to celebrate the Summer festivities this year, which includes shows for all ages and tastes, always adapted to the restrictions and current regulations for the control of the pandemic.

The activities will begin on July 2 and will last until the 7th. The program has proposals during the day and at night. All the days will begin with dawns through the streets of the municipality and there will be a vermouth session at 12.00 with the participation of local groups. Also in the morning they will unfold activities for the little ones in the park of A Cachada.

The acts to be carried out at night they will be divided into two locationsOne is the Plaza de la Terceira Idade (behind the Social Center) and the other is Plaza de Galicia. In both there will be programming aimed at differentiated audiences. The shows will be free and to attend it will be necessary to make a Advance reservation input. This can be processed from tomorrow at 10:00 am through the forms available on the website of the Council.

The capacity for all the performances is limited, since they will be carried out with the public seated in previously assigned places and there will be access control. The use of masks will be mandatory at all times. In addition to these shows, on July 3, at 10:15 p.m. in the Plaza de Galicia, the traditional proclamation, which this year is dedicated to the women who care, and they will be in charge of marking the start of the Boiro festivities. Another high point will be the fireworks shoot to be held at midnight on Sunday in Barraña.

Folía Magazine

As a complement to the cultural programming, the Council publishes this year a new edition of Folía, the magazine that is published every year on the occasion of the summer festivals and that, in addition to the festive program, collects testimonies from the protagonists of this year, the women who care, texts of local personalities and images of the festivities.

For yet another year, the magazine is edited entirely by the City Council and includes advertisements from businesses and companies in the municipality that collaborate with the festivities, with sponsorship being completely free as a token of appreciation for the great effort they made in the last year.
